Because Rashad covered up intelligently and weaseled his way out.
I was absolutely rooting for Rampage to win but Rashad came out better prepared for this fight and kept ring control and dominance through most of the three rounds.
Yeah man, but damn, he was on top him and he just pulled his punches all of a sudden. No hammer fist, nothing. He rocked him real hard, follow him to the ground, leaned on Evans neck/face for a while and then he just laid there. Then, didn't do anything again when they got up. So frustrating!
The worst part was Rampage blaming the whole thing to ring rust and half-heartedly demanding a rematch and Evans going on and on about how good his strength and conditioning is... bullshit. He just won because Rampage is an idiot who didn't go for the kill when he had the chance.
Oh well... at least, Rua will get to destroy that nipple-twisting monkey.
I would like to see a more focused Rampage fight him again, but it'll be a while because Evens is going to have to recover from the destruction Shogun's going to put on him.
I'm not really a fan of either but I usually go for the guy that talked less shit. In this case I had to lean towards Rashad.
I already know that Rashad/Shogun is a go, but I think Machida/Rampage would be a good set up a challenger for the next go around.

It's a shame because Evens is going to get the fight with Shogun and get destroyed.

Best.
