Just curious

Journal Entry: Tue Jan 10, 2012, 7:46 PM

Does anyone know who painted the packaging art for G.I. Joe A Real American Hero toys back in the 80's?

I was looking at my G.I Joe figures and remembered I've learned to hold a brush and paint by copying the art on the Law & Order packaging and wondered.

( I've tried Google-ing. Either I got the key words wrong or plain bad luck)

I'm from the same era, and have looked around for quite awhile for that information. The best I have been able to come up with is a gentleman by the name of Ron Rudat, who was one of the design leads for the entire G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero line in the beginning. Linked below is an interview with him, as well as a few of the more popular, and helpful, forums the collecting community congregates around. Hope they help... and if you find the 'real' answer, an update would be great! :P

I'm not sure if he did all the packaging art as I'm only sure he did the Law & Order one according to [link] but the artist's name is Hector Garrido!
