Thanks for the concern, it really did gave me quite a scare too. Good thing all I had to do was replace a missing .dll file which can be downloaded online and everything went back to normal. I almost paid a repair guy a few hundred pesos for that, whew!

It's fixed now, thanks.

I was working and the computer was moving on a turtle's pace and I uninstalled some programs that I rarely used to make room (I only have 40G HDD) hoping that will alleviate the situation and one of the programs removed was IE7. And when that was removed it also took away the iertutil.dll file from the system32 folder and on the next boot I was left with no explorer and couldn't open any program for virus protection or to draw and paint.

Ouch, man. 40Gigs isnt too bad if you keep it light, but memory is the big one. Especially with image editting programs needing a big slate of memory :\ That's weird that IE7 took one of your DLLs out when it got uninstalled though..

Glad you got it fixed!
