Really? Well that would be a fan's dream come true for some.
But the bad part is (and this is only my opinion) that it will not have the same quality, the same taste as the manga. Like those pages that they're made by pencil and stuff. That is the part that I really like this manga, besides of the story.
Some series are better in manga than in anime sometimes. But that is only my opinion.
..Ahh!! I kind of half thought that this day wouldn't come, since I've heard that Samura didn't like the idea of his work being turned into animation... then again, the last time I read that was a long, long time ago.
This will be interesting. Sadly, I don't have high hopes for it (if anything, I learned to keep my expectations down so that even if it disappoints, it'd disappoint me less), but this just might be the first anime I'll watch in a long time. Don't know how "into it" I'll be, but I'll definitely at least watch a few episodes just to satisfy my curiosity.
From an anime marketing standpoint, this is a million years overdue. Gotta hand it to Samura for spending so much time with the story regardless of whether an animation studio wanted to make another season or not. That stuff's what helps screw over stories like Inu Yasha (which were in trouble from the start anyway).
From what I see on that page though, I'm not sure what to think. I agree with everyone who feels part of the Blade story's unique qualities are derived from its raw pencil driven style, and right now that's nowhere to be seen. Odds of the studio turning this into some nonsense marketing gimmick, 80%.
I think most of us will know after watching the first fight sequence if this will be worth watching or not. There's a spirit to Manji's fighting that you just don't screw up.
